Providence Gay men’s chorus concert
at Christ Church
The Christ Church Concert Series will present a 20th Anniversary Concert by the Providence Gay Men’s Chorus (PGMC), in the church, 57 Main Street, Swansea, on Sunday, May 15 at 3:00pm. The concert will feature a wide assortment of music in four part harmony. Music from “Man of La Mancha”, “The Sound of Music” and Andrew Lloyd Weber will be included.
The chorus is in its 20th anniversary season, under the artistic direction of Kim Kuda. The PGMC aspires to deliver uplifting and empowering messages of equality for all, to present unique and collaborative musical performances and to be inspirational leaders of social change.
Motif Magazine has named the PGMC the Best Choral Group in Rhode Island for 6 years in a row, since 2008, and this year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the chorus. The PGMC believes its message is delivered most effectively and emotionally through song rather than through speech. Throughout 20 years, the two things that have remained constant is a continued commitment to musical excellence and an ability to inspire its audiences.
Seating in the church is limited so be sure to secure your place at this fabulous event. The concert will be followed by a coffee/punch and dessert reception in the parish hall.
